Privacy and Cookies
yes-analytics.com. Last updated: 25 October 2026.
The short version
This website does not sell personal data, does not run advertising and does not require an account. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them, and the free tools work in your browser without sending your text anywhere.
Who is responsible
This website is operated by YeS Analytics. For any question about privacy, or to exercise any of the rights below, email [email protected].
What is collected and why
- Website usage statistics on the main page (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, how you arrived), through Google Analytics, to understand which content is useful. Analytics cookies are set only after you press “Accept”.
- Feedback messages sent through the forms on the Free tools pages: your message and, if you add one, your email address. They are used only to read and reply to your feedback.
- Technical request data such as IP address and browser details, which every website receives, used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
The text you type into the bold text generator is converted in your browser and is never sent to us.
Cookies and browser storage
- cookie-consent (browser storage): remembers your choice in the cookie banner. Kept until you clear this site’s data.
- _ga and _ga_* (cookies, Google Analytics): distinguish visitors and sessions for usage statistics. Set only after “Accept”, kept for up to 2 years.
- Draft text (browser storage, bold text generator): keeps your unsent draft so it is not lost if you close the page. It stays on your device.
If you decline, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode: no analytics cookies are set and only limited signals without visitor identifiers are sent. To change your choice, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
Third-party services
Each provider below processes data under its own privacy terms. Some may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards required by GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited): usage statistics, as described above.
- Google Fonts (Google): the fonts on this site are loaded from Google, which receives standard request data such as your IP address.
- Formspree: receives messages sent through the feedback forms and forwards them by email.
- Cloudflare: delivers and protects the site and handles email sent to [email protected]. It may set strictly necessary security cookies.
- GitHub Pages (GitHub): hosts the site files.
The Chrome extension has its own privacy policy. Links to other websites, such as LinkedIn or carstats.ie, lead to sites with their own policies.
How long data is kept
- Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
- Feedback messages are kept in email only as long as needed to reply, and are deleted from Formspree’s archive within 30 days.
- Technical request logs are kept by the hosting and delivery providers for short periods under their own policies.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated if the site or the services it uses change, and the date above will change with it.
